As you browse this WADA web site, you'll notice that some documents have
been created in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format -- often simply
called, "PDF files." To view these documents, you will need
Adobe Reader
Software installed on your computer. If you do NOT have it, you
can easily download it, free of charge, from the following Adobe web site:
Portable Document Format is based on the PostScript
page-description language. Unlike Hypertext Markup Language (HTML),
PDF preserves the look of the original, printed publication so that when
you download a PDF file from this WADA web site, you will be able to view
the document in its original format -- with its original text,
graphics, and color.
Most World Wide Web browsers allow users to
integrate Adobe Acrobat as an external viewer, or "helper
application." This enables the user to view PDF documents without
first saving them and then running the Adobe Acrobat Reader. You may print
Adobe items directly from your browser. If you wish to save
the document to your computer, go to File and then Save As. You can
then open the document in Acrobat Reader.
You may also share any PDF document via e-mail. Most of the PDF documents created for use on this site will
need a password to “change” the original file or design / layout… as the
files have been created to be viewed, or, to be printed and then used “as-is.”
